The Tower

Formed in 1985 The Tower are a 3 to 4 piece band playing synth-pop and keyboard music.

As a band they formed a prolific writing team producing collectively over 200 songs listed with MCPS.

The name ‘The Tower’ came from a tarot card as seen from the entrance to this site.

The boys changed to being called 4 Desire and then Redshift briefly, but Whenever they played live, venues would always put ‘formerly known as’ because a Tower gig was always a sell out. Now they are back to being known by their most popular name, The Tower.

The band had a large following and good response from record companies. At one point, Up to 5 well known labels were keen to sign the band. Most notably Dave Ambrose, formally of EMI but later to run his own label called planet 3.
